The hull design has been refined over many years by master boat builders on the East Coast. The hull form is stable and powerful, enabling this boat to have a high load capacity whilst being able to carry plenty of sail. 
The result is a well balanced, stable boat with a fair turn of speed. Buoyancy tanks and a steel centre plate add further safety and solidity.
The version here is a Sprit rig, a nod a frequently used rig on the Sailing Barges the original wound have served.
